
ATTORNEY DAVID T. CASERTA (RETIRED)
David T. Caserta was a founding partner of Caserta & Spiriti and retired from the practice of law and the firm in 2022 after a distinguished career representing clients in general business matters, including contract negotiation, business infrastructure and transactions, real estate, and entertainment-related matters.
David began his professional career while still attending college, obtaining both his Real Estate and Mortgage licenses. For more than 20 years, he was actively involved in the acquisition, development, leasing, financing, debt restructuring, and disposition of real estate projects throughout Florida. His experience included residential properties, office buildings, apartment complexes, shopping centers, hotels, mixed-use developments, and industrial projects. He also served as a respected Court-Appointed Receiver and Government Monitor for the U.S. Marshals Office.
David remained active in public service for nearly two decades. In 1991, he was elected the youngest Councilman for the City of North Miami and later rose to the position of Vice Mayor. During his tenure, his innovative initiatives positively impacted crime reduction, education, and the local economy.
In 1994, David entered the government relations field, representing clients before the Florida Legislature and local governments in areas including education, transportation, healthcare, government affairs, nonprofit organizations, entertainment, and other major industries. He also served as an independent consultant for private corporations on development, regulatory, and general business matters.
Fulfilling a lifelong ambition, David attended law school while raising a family and earned his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University in 2000. He subsequently used his legal background to further assist clients with complex business matters, including contract negotiations, leases, purchase agreements, and personal service agreements.
Throughout his legal career, David also represented business organizations in matters involving joint ventures, corporations, Subchapter S corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs), operating agreements, shareholder agreements, corporate governance, contracts, and related business operations. In addition, he served as a certified Florida Supreme Court Mediator.
David retired from Caserta & Spiriti in 2022, leaving behind a respected legacy of legal service, public leadership, and business advocacy.
