Law Firm Office Assistant — Bilingual English/Spanish

 

You MUST be Fluent in Spanish/English for this position and MUST have a CONSISTENT AND STABLE WORK HISTORY.

Caserta & Spiriti, a busy, rapidly growing law firm, needs a bright, articulate, high energy person to assist the attorneys, handle input into case management system, direct calls, organize and support appointment schedules and work flow, and assist this fast paced office in serving client needs efficiently throughout the day.

You will enjoy a faced paced, ever-changing environment.  This is a very visible position with a growing law firm, where a career minded individual can grow as the firm grows.

Job Requirements

To qualify you must:

  • Have an outgoing professional image projecting confidence to clients
  • Be bilingual in English/Spanish (REQUIRED)
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Be an organized, high energy, take-charge person
  • Have previous office admin experience
  • Be tech savvy with strong Microsoft Office knowledge and experience
  • Be eager to learn and grow
  • Law firm experience a plus
  • MUST be excited about starting in an entry level position, and growing a long term stable career.

Internship Opportunities

Full Time or Part Time Internship (NON PAID)

20 – 30 Hours Weekly

Legal, Business, Entertainment, Sports, Marketing, Government Relations, Personal Injury, Wills, Estates, Probate

Education:
Minimum One (1) Semester of College Credits

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Student Interns will learn how to communicate with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner.

Student Interns will learn how to navigate through Microsoft Office as it relates to the firm’s use.

Student Interns will learn how to deal with Legal, Business, Real Estate Projects, as needed.

Student Interns will learn how to successfully draft memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents.

Student Interns will assist the support staff with projects as requested.

Student Interns must maintain a professional appearance.

Student Interns will understand how to properly ensure communications are directed to the correct department in the firm.

 

THROUGHOUT THE INTERNSHIP, INTERN WILL BE LEARNING HOW TO BE ABLE TO HANDLE MORE

SOPHISTICATED PROJECTS AND TASKS!

Must have pleasant phone voice and be able to multitask.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Student interns will be learning how to synchronize Hard Files, Computer Files, and Project Management Software Files

2. Student interns will be learning about legal strategies, specifically Foreclosure Defense and Condo Association Strategies and Techniques

3. Student interns will be learning how to monitor Foreclosure Defense Court Dockets in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties

4. Student interns will be learning court procedures and instructions in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties

5. Students will be mentored by Joseph A. Spiriti Jr., managing partner of the law firm.

▪ Training in expense management

▪ Training in maintenance of department records and files

Internship Overview

1. The internship, even though it includes actual operation of the facilities of the Firm, is similar training which would be given in an educational environment;

2. The internship experience is for the benefit of the intern;

3.  The intern does not displace regular employees, but works under close supervision of existing staff;

4.  The employer that provides the training derives no immediate advantage from the activities of the intern; and on occasion its operations may actually be impeded;

5.  The intern is not necessarily entitled to a job at the conclusion of the internship

6. The employer and the intern understand that the intern is not entitled to wages for the time spent in the internship.

An internship role in our practice provides the opportunity to sharpen your communication, analytical, business skills, and gain ESSENTIAL WORK ENVIRONMENT EXPERIENCE, while working as part of a team committed to developing executable strategy and implementing meaningful solutions for clients.

Education:

Minimum One (1) Semester of College Credits

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Student Interns will learn how to communicate executives, teams, and other interns in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner.

Student Interns will learn how to implement Social Media, Digital Marketing, and Website design as it relates to the firm’s use and its clients.

Student Interns will learn how to expand their digital marketing skills, as needed.

Student Interns will learn how to successfully construct and implement website designs via Word Press.

Student Interns will assist the support staff with Digital Marketing projects as requested.

THROUGHOUT THE INTERNSHIP, INTERN WILL BE LEARNING PATIENCE A DAY TO DAY WORK ENVIRONMENT AND ALSO HOW TO BE ABLE TO HANDLE MORE SOPHISTICATED PROJECTS AND TASKS!

Internship Overview

Student Interns must maintain a professional appearance, have a preliminary knowledge of Word Press, and have knowledge of social media outlets like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, and be able to multitask.

  1. The internship, even though it includes actual operation of the facilities of the Firm, is similar training which would be given in an educational environment; including the clinical and other hands on training provided by educational institutions.
  2. The internship experience is for the benefit of the intern; and can be tied to the intern’s formal education program by integrated coursework or the receipt of academic credit. The internship corresponds to the Intern’s academic calendar.
  3. The internship’s duration is limited to the period in which the internship provides the intern with beneficial learning.
  4. The intern does not displace regular employees, but works under close supervision of existing staff;
  5. The employer that provides the training derives no immediate advantage from the activities of the intern; and on occasion its operations may actually be impeded;
  6. The intern is not necessarily entitled to a job at the conclusion of the internship; and
  7. The employer and the intern understand that the intern is not entitled to wages for the time spent in the internship and the intern clearly understand that there is no expectation of compensation.

Duration of the internship- 12 weeks
